I had hoped for something special, but this blanket was just like so many others. Disappointing.

Not soft at all

This blanket is not one that you’d want to snuggle up with. It’s abrasive and not worth the money.

Love my blanket!

Due to a remodel in the Master Suite, I have moved into my grown daughter’s bedroom, and quickly realized how horrible her bedding was! Just got my waffle blanket, which is the perfect weight for these hot Texas nights. It is also so pretty - so much so that sometimes I don’t even make the bed!!

Not Quite What I Expected!

I've been looking for a lightweight blanket as most of the other Berkshire Blankets we own are much heavier in weight. Living in Oklahoma, they're great but leave me kicking the blanket AND sheets off. So when I saw these, I thought, "Here's what I'm looking for!" So it came in - initially I was confused because it was described as breathable & comfortable - but I didn't see how. So I washed it thinking that may change the texture which was rough to me. It didn't change. After the 1st night of sleeping with the blanket, my husband couldn't stop talking about how much warmer it felt, and he didn't like the feeling of the "squares" through the sheet. I have to admit, I felt the same thing. The blanket felt heavy, seemed to trap your body heat, and was "knobby" for lack of a better word. It was just disappointing. The other thing that was kinda the kiss of death was that it snags badly. If you have a chipped toenail - it'll snag. If you have pups who occasionally get access to the blanket, their nails catch. Even though we put a top sheet over the blanket, the pups inevitably wind up with a paw under the sheet. We've not had the blanket long and it's already snagged at least half a dozen times. I think just due to the overall experience and the fact that we already have a plethora of heavier blankets, I will see if any family members need/want them. If not I'll donate them to an organization that would use them this Fall. This just isn't the right blanket for us.

Bought for breathability, has some flaws in material

BLUF: Breathable blanket, but major flaw in material choice.

I'm not a avid shopper for home decor, more specifically in the bedding and linen department, but this is my second purchase from Berkshire and I'm kinda meh.

I bought think blanket due to price, however; I've heard good things about Berkshire. My first blanket from Berkshire was supposed to be breathable, but it literally feels like a fleece. I bought this blanket as my replacement for the first one, and it's definitely breathable and it has a bit of weight to it too. The biggest issue is the material is very rough and it leaves a lot of lint on your bed and clothes. I'm wondering after a few more washes if the lint will go away. Additionally, *due to weight when wet, this may damage your dryer if it's not heavy duty.* I put this in my dryer on very low heat and it snapped the belt to the drum because it's pretty heavy when wet after washing.
